green educational building. The 8,000 square foot "Zoo
School" will be a living laboratory exemplifying healthy
building concepts and energy conservation.

The
Zoo School will integrate energy conservation and environmental
awareness into the program's curriculum. The facility will
be a destination for tours and educational workshops. The
staff will distribute energy conservation resources to the
local businesses, organizations and media.

Million to complete this portion of the Reid Park Zoo's $20,000,000
Master Plan.
