Easter Egg Hunt!

April 3, 2010; 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.

$5.00 for each member adult; $7 for each non-member adult, $8.00 for each child 2-12, and FREE for Kids under 2

Bring the whole family to the Zoo for an Easter Egg Hunt!  Live animal encounters, crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny are also included in this program.  All ages are welcome, but children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.  All participants, adults and children, must register for this program.  Click here to register.

Zoo Caper Summer Camp for kids entering grades 1-6

Price for camp is $190 per week for Zoo members; $210 per week for non-members.  Hours are 9:00-4:00 each day.  Extended care (8:30-9:00 and 4:00-4:30) is available for an additional $40 per week.

Grades 1&2:  June 14-18; June 21-25; June 28-July 2; July 12-16; July 26-30
Grades 3&4:  June 7-11; June 21-25 (sold out); July 19-23     
Grades 5&6:  June 14-18; July 12-16

Little Critters

Zoo programs for preschoolers. Each session includes a walk through the Zoo, story, craft or other activity, and a live animal encounter. Each session is based on a different zoo theme. Adults must attend with children ages 3-5. Registration fee of $10 for members or $16 for non members covers both an adult and child. Click here to browse program dates or to register.

Young Explorers

Interactive, hands on classes offered for 6-12 year olds that focus on exciting Zoo topics. New topics and classes offered monthly. Prices vary based on program. Parents please plan on dropping your children off for these programs. Click here to browse program dates or to register.

Programs for Families

Families of all ages can enjoy a night at the Zoo during an evening safari full of flashlight zoo tours and hands on activities. Special seasonal programs are also offered to families of all ages. Families with children 5 and over can register for a behind the scenes tour to learn about the rewards and challenges of caring for over 500 exotic animals every day. Prices vary based on program. Groups (10+)

Scheduling a program for a scout group or private group of 10 or more? Reid Park Zoo offers a variety of programs for all ages. For more information, or to reserve a program, please contact the Zoo’s Education Department at 837-8200. We will work with you to determine the best date and time for your group’s program. Programs are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please make your plans early to avoid disappointment. If you are booking a school field trip, please see the Just for Teachers page.
